2 Outer Hell

I've been playing pretty well lately and using the bankroll management system to move up when appropriate. In order to move up to the next level, I needed to have a total bankroll of $80. I got to $79.50 and promptly entered what I'll call 2 Outer Hell.

2 Outer Hell is pretty self-explanatory, but basically it boils down to this. If there's a 2,3, or 4 outer that can beat the hand you have . . . . . . those cards hit the board. Again . . . . . and again . . . . . and again. Now if I'm truly honest with myself, there were a few hands I could and should have played differently, but I still would not have been winning.

Coming out of 2 Outer Hell, I was down to $65 and still playing well. My hands were holding up and now I'm back on track to building the bankroll and continuing the experiment. I realize runs like this are going to happen and it's something I'll have to handle well in order to not go on tilt and start playing poorly. Playing poorly and losing money will always lose money. Playing well and losing money is just something that is going to happen on occasion.

I'm still playing well and am back on the winning side of things. I've recovered and am now back to over $70. Using the bankroll management system I've implemented has helped tremendously with being able to walk through 2 Outer Hell and come out on the other side.

2 outers are part of the game. You've caught them, so will your opponents. The key is to make the right decisions, over and over again, regardless of the results. If you get your money in against someone with a 2 outer, take those odds all day long. In the end, you will profit. Forget about the short term results. That's poker!
